Altius is an innovative startup that provides interns with a unique opportunity to collaborate on original software projects. Our mission is to empower aspiring developers by giving them hands-on experience in creating and launching real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow interns and mentors to brainstorm and define the concept of an original application
• Develop and implement features using modern software development practices and technologies
• Participate in agile workflows, including code reviews, stand-up meetings, and sprints
• Debug and optimize code for performance, scalability, and security
• Contribute to UI/UX design, backend architecture, or other development aspects based on expertise
• Engage in technical discussions and problem-solving sessions

Who Should Apply?

• Front-end and back-end development (React, Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Mobile app development (iOS/Android, Flutter, React Native)
• UI/UX design
• Database management and cloud computing
• AI/ML integration

Equity Model

Instead of traditional compensation, interns receive an equity share in the specific project they help develop. The percentage of equity is based on the amount of interns accepted per cohort, and is generally around 3-8% per intern. The amount of equity received will be established and communicated before the start of the internship period.

• Conduct market research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitive positioning
• Develop and execute marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, and digital advertising
• Assist in branding efforts, including logo design, messaging, and product storytelling
• Engage in outreach to potential users, partners, and investors
• Explore monetization strategies and business models for the application
• Help create pitch decks, presentations, and reports for potential stakeholders
• Work closely with developers to align marketing efforts with product development
